Yes, it's that time of year again, and my Christmas is back with a vengeance*
Those of you on Facebook will have the invite on there as well, but for those who aren't, here are the details:

When: Friday 19th December, 7pm - 1am (and if Matt's working the next day, 1am means 1am)
Where: Casa del SMEG (if you don't have the address, msg me)
Why: its Christmas, which means I can gather a lot of people in one place at one time and catch up with them all
What to bring: drinks, anything else you think might need. Some nibbles will be provided. A BBQ will also be on hand if you want to burn some meat.

Movember

I've set up a group for us all for movember and every one should have an email inviting them to register. If you don't get an email, or are unable to undertake it, let me know.

District Centenary Challenge this Sunday

Ok, so we have the District Centenary event this weekend which we've been asked to run an activity for at 2nd Caulfield's hall. I've organised the activity, and also I should have some Venturers along to help as well, so all you need to do is turn up on Sunday (in uniform) to assist. The idea is groups of Joeys, Cubs and Scouts will be making their way around the district to do activities and collect "Glen Eira Dollars" (which we will give out upon successful completion of our activity).

Details are:
Where: 2nd Caulfield, 702 Inkerman Rd, Caulfield North (near Hawthorn Rd opposite Caulfield Park)
When: 9am - 2pm
What to bring: yourselves in uniform, hat/jacket/water bottle/whatever else you want

After the activity finishes at 2pm, all members of the District will be converging on Glen Eira Town Hall for a "mini-Fete", which we have also been asked to make an appearance at. There will be a BBQ feed provided, plus other little activities (although they're aimed more at the younger kids, but don't let that stop you having a go!). This finishes at 5pm.

Please let me know if you're able to come and help. If you can only make it for a short period of time, that's better than nothing, just let me know when you can make it. I know a couple of people will have to take the buggy down for scrutineering, but if you can come after that it'd be good.

Next Week

We have been invited to attend Delningy's Car Scavenger Hunt. Its on Tuesday 21st (Next week), starting at 8pm at Delningy's hall, 65 Centre Dandenong Road, Dingley. Bring a pen and as many cars as you want. I won't be there as I'll be in Tasmania, so try and have a good time without me.

Where: 'Whispers' @ The Dingley International, Boundary Rd Dingley
When: 8pm-1am
Cost: $10 entry and drinks at bar prices, as well as other little fundraisers throughout the night

I know I said I'd be driving there, but as some of you have noticed, I'm not entirely well at the moment, and if I'm attending, it will not be for the whole night, likely no later than 11ish. So if anyone wants a lift there/lift back at those times, shoot me a message tomorrow and I'll let you know if I'm going

As it is my 26th birthday (yeah, yeah, I know you think I'm already old, but now I really will be!), I have decided to spend it drowning my sorrows & listening to a good band!

Time: Meet at hall @7.30. Pete's band (Better than the Wizards) starts playing at 8pm.
Cost: Entry is free, buying me drinks will cost lots of money! :p

Today

Is the first of the month, so we have ourselves a business meeting. Full uniform, at the hall. We'll have a couple of things to discuss, seeing as how we have two months to catch up on. Also note Sharpy's post below this about opposite lock.
